At an international fair, the UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLÓGICA DEL CHOCÓ exposed the paper “Augmented Reality, a tool to foster the english learning experience” Within the framework of the international fair “EDUTECHNIA” Technology and Innovation Fair for Education, which took place on September 7-8-9 in Corferias Bogotá. On behalf of the Technological University of Chocó and the Modern Languages Program with an Emphasis in English, Professor Oscar Alonso Vásquez Vallejo participated with the Workshop Presentation named “Augmented Reality, a tool to foster the English learning experience”
With the company and support from the Faculty of Education represented by the Dean of the Faculty Belén Olave Caicedo, the representation of the Institutionality was carried out, presenting to the world the Universidad Tecnológica del Chocó Diego Luis Córdoba that, from the region works in pro of the education of citizens for the world.
Among the purpose of this experience was sharing with the attendees the results obtained during the process of applying the pedagogical strategy and to demonstrate in a practical way (in situ) the applicability of the content designed and mediated by Augmented Reality directed to the teaching of English.
In the do it yourself (DIY) section, Attendees were able to create, under the guidance of the Teacher, an elementary listening activity mediated by Augmented Reality.
For us it is very important to “Share experiences, points of view, suggestions and expectations from the attendees about the possible pros and cons, related to the implementation of this technological tool focused on the area of teaching of English”
